The Nauvoo Discovery Program Housing - The Inn at Old Nauvoo

During the first semester of the Nauvoo Discovery Program (NDP), students lived in the Inn at Old Nauvoo, the largest hotel here in town. As hotels go, it’s fairly par for the course; however, it does boast a pool and a large cafeteria.

On our first night at the hotel, we sat in the hotel hallway and played Jackbox Games on someone’s laptop.

We NDP students spent many an hour after meals goofing off and procrastinating school. (And then, regretting our choices and catching up on school.) During the winter, we built snowmen in the courtyard.

We had slumber parties and movie nights at the hotel. We gathered for evening runs and launched our best adventures from the cafeteria.

At the beginning of the semester, the Inn was just another feature of Nauvoo, but by the end, it was a haven of friendship and good times. It became my home away from home.
