The Nauvoo Discovery Program supports YSA both before and after their missions by providing guidance, community, and experiences that strengthen spiritual growth and personal development.

The Nauvoo Discovery Program helps YSA students prepare for missionary service by strengthening spiritual habits, personal confidence, and practical life skills. Through daily devotionals, workshops, and meaningful service opportunities, participants build routines that support their spiritual growth and emotional readiness. With mentors and peers encouraging them along the way, students gain the grounding and preparation they need to step confidently into full-time missionary service.

Participants also receive guidance, mentoring, and experiences that support a smooth and inspired transition into the mission field. Leaders and instructors help students understand what to expect, how to adapt to mission life, and how to approach challenges with faith and resilience. Whether it’s learning effective study habits, practicing communication skills, or finding peace in personal preparation, the program offers a nurturing environment that sets a strong foundation for missionary success.

For returning missionaries, the program offers a supportive community and resources to help them readjust, refocus, and move forward with purpose. Through group discussions, personalized mentoring, and community-centered activities, students find space to process their mission experiences and set new goals for education, work, and spiritual life while continuing to build their faith. With a sense of belonging and renewed direction, returning missionaries can build momentum for the next stage of their journey.

Housing

Housing is at the Manor House in conjunction with The Inn at Old Nauvoo.

Rooms include beds, desks, chests of drawers, a small refrigerator, a microwave, and a TV. Communal areas have a stove and refrigerator as well as pots, pans, and dishes.

We offer a variety of amenities including Wi-Fi, a pool, indoor and outdoor and communal areas.

Participants are welcome to bring their vehicles. Company vehicles may be available to licensed and insured drivers.

NDP Buildings

The Nauvoo Discovery Program Headquarters

This is NDP-Headquarters, which includes: The NDP Admin Office, a Study Hall, the Library, a Game Room, a Chapel, a Kitchen and a Great Hall as well as a craft room.

The Manor House

NDP Housing includes 2 adjoining rooms with a common room in between, a Kitchen area with stove, refrigerator and microwave and three full bathrooms. The Manor House also has an exercise room.

The Inn at Old Nauvoo

The Inn at Old Nauvoo houses the Volunteers, Provides a Front Desk & Lobby, Pool, Extra Gathering Space, Vending Machines, More Washers and Dryers, and the Hotel Manager and other admin offices.
